π Booking, Deposits and Cancellation
Everything you need to know before securing your date with Jump Around Party Rentals.
How do I book a rental from Jump Around Party Rentals?
Book online 24/7 at jump-aroundpartyrentals.com/order-by-date - select your event date, browse available inventory, and complete checkout with a 25% deposit. You can also call (512) 294-2221 Monday through Sunday for a same-day quote and phone booking. If your address is outside our standard delivery zone, call us and we will work out a custom quote.
Is a deposit required to book?
Yes. A non-refundable 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. It reserves your date and equipment. The remaining balance is charged automatically the morning of your delivery. Book online to see current availability and pricing.
Is the deposit refundable if I cancel?
The 25% deposit is non-refundable. However, if you cancel at least 8 days before your event, the deposit converts to a raincheck credit valid for one full year from your original event date. Inside 8 days, the deposit is forfeited but any amounts paid beyond the deposit convert to credit. Weather cancellations made before 7am on delivery day also convert to full credit. Note: some Austin-area rental companies hold your entire payment with no credit option at all. Jump Around Party Rentals converts your deposit to a one-year raincheck - your money stays flexible.
What happens if I need to cancel because of weather?
Weather cancellations follow the same raincheck policy. Call (512) 294-2221 as early as possible - ideally before 7am on your event day - so we can halt the delivery before our crew is dispatched. Once the truck has left for your delivery, the cancellation policy applies. Your raincheck credit is valid for one year from your original event date. The Central Texas outdoor event guide has tips on planning around Central Texas weather.
How far in advance should I book?
It depends on your event type and time of year:
- Backyard birthday parties: 1 to 3 weeks is usually fine
- Summer Saturdays (June-August): 3 to 6 weeks ahead - these fill fastest
- 4th of July: Book by May. This is the fastest-filling date on the calendar
- School carnivals and field days: Book by January for spring dates
- HOA community events: 4 to 6 weeks for summer and fall dates
- Church fall festivals and trunk-or-treats: 4 to 6 weeks for October dates
- Corporate events: 6 to 10 weeks for large multi-unit packages
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards, debit cards, cash, Venmo, and Zelle. Checks are accepted from schools, churches, and businesses. A 3% card processing fee applies to credit card payments. Cash customers - please have exact change as drivers do not carry cash. Personal checks are not accepted for residential orders. Discount voucher codes (Groupon, veteran, first responder) go in the Customer Comments field at checkout.
Does the rental period include setup time or is it full hours of use?
Your rental clock starts when setup is complete and the unit is fully inflated, anchored, and inspected - not when our truck pulls up. We schedule delivery before your event start time specifically so you receive every minute of your rental period as usable play time. You will not lose an hour to watching us set up. For the full planning timeline, see the bounce house party planning guide.
What if something goes wrong at my event - how do I reach you?
Call (512) 294-2221 immediately. Jump Around Party Rentals prioritizes calls from customers with active rentals. Most issues can be resolved over the phone in a few minutes. If a problem requires an on-site visit, we dispatch a crew to your location. In the rare case a unit has a mechanical problem we cannot resolve quickly, we replace it with a comparable unit. The same reliability behind 932 five-star reviews is on every delivery we make.
Can I book the same day I need the rental?
Same-day availability occasionally opens up due to cancellations. Call (512) 294-2221 as early as possible to check. We cannot guarantee same-day inventory but we will always tell you honestly what is available. During peak season (May through August and October), same-day options are limited. Check the booking calendar for the most current availability.
π Delivery, Setup and Rental Duration
How Jump Around Party Rentals gets your equipment delivered, set up, and picked back up.
Does the rental price include delivery, setup, and takedown?
Setup and takedown are always included. Delivery fees are calculated based on your address and are applied to your order total at checkout - there are no surprise fees added on delivery day. Standard delivery is curb-to-backyard: our crew brings the equipment to your setup area, inflates it, anchors it, and does a safety walkthrough before leaving.
How long is the standard rental period?
Standard rentals are full-day - typically 4 to 8 hours depending on your event. Setup time is not counted against your rental hours. Your rental clock starts when the unit is fully inflated, anchored, and inspected. Carnival and mechanical rides are 3-hour base rentals with additional hours available at checkout. Browse the full carnival ride rental catalog. The Twister Swing is a 2-hour base rental.
What time will you arrive to set up?
Home deliveries typically arrive 1 to 3 hours before your rental start time. Large events and multi-unit orders may be set up the evening before at no additional charge. You will receive a text or email the afternoon before your delivery with your crew's estimated arrival window. We arrive early - not at the last minute. Book your date online and we will confirm your delivery window the afternoon before.
Do you deliver to parks in the Greater Austin area?
Yes. Jump Around Party Rentals delivers to city and county parks throughout the Greater Austin Metro. Most public parks require a city event permit and vendor Certificate of Insurance before inflatables can be set up. We issue COIs for any park or city permit application at no charge. Many parks do not have accessible power - generator rentals are available. Confirm permit requirements with the relevant city parks department before booking. Note: park events that require a dedicated delivery window rather than a standard route stop may carry an additional park delivery fee. This reflects the real added cost of coordinating around a park reservation rather than a standard residential delivery - not a hidden charge. We disclose this upfront when you book.
Do you deliver to gated communities and HOA venues?
Yes. Jump Around Party Rentals delivers to gated communities and HOA amenity centers throughout the service area including Santa Rita Ranch, Twin Creeks, Ranch at Brushy Creek, Falcon Pointe, Blackhawk, and many others. COI for HOA management offices issued same-day. Let us know your community name and gate access instructions when you book. See our full service area for all cities and communities we serve.
Do you deliver to rural properties and ranch addresses?
Yes. Jump Around Party Rentals delivers to acreage properties, ranch addresses, and rural lots throughout Williamson County and Bell County - including Liberty Hill ranch properties, Florence addresses on CR 221 and Ramms Drive, and rural Bell County events. Call (512) 294-2221 before booking any rural or acreage property so we can confirm road access, surface type, and power availability in advance. We regularly deliver to Liberty Hill ranch properties and Florence TX rural addresses.
What do I need to have ready before your crew arrives?
To make setup as fast and smooth as possible:
- Clear the setup area of furniture, toys, sprinklers, and debris
- Make sure a gate or access path is wide enough for the equipment (most units need at least 36 inches)
- Locate your nearest outdoor electrical outlet and have an extension cord if the outlet is more than 50 feet from the setup area
- Have a water source ready if you are renting a water slide
- Be present or have a designated adult on site to approve the setup location
β Safety, Insurance and Texas State Inspections
Jump Around Party Rentals meets every Texas state requirement for amusement ride safety.
Is Jump Around Party Rentals licensed and insured?
Yes. Jump Around Party Rentals carries full general liability insurance and meets every requirement under the Texas Amusement Ride Safety Inspection and Insurance Act administered by the Texas Department of Insurance. You can verify our registration at tdi.texas.gov before booking. We issue Certificates of Insurance for schools, HOAs, churches, parks, and corporate venues same-day at no charge.
Are your inflatables inspected by the State of Texas?
Yes. Every inflatable and amusement ride in the Jump Around Party Rentals inventory passes annual inspection under the Texas Amusement Ride Safety Inspection and Insurance Act. Before booking any party rental company in the Greater Austin area, verify their TDI registration at tdi.texas.gov. An unlisted operator is not legally permitted to operate inflatable rides at public events in Texas. See our inflatable safety guide for more on what to look for when hiring a rental company.
Are your inflatables cleaned and sanitized between rentals?
Yes. Every unit is cleaned, disinfected, and dried between every rental. Jump Around Party Rentals uses commercial-grade lead-free fire-retardant vinyl throughout the catalog. You will not receive a mud-stained or mildew-smelling unit. If equipment arrives in any condition that does not meet your expectations, call (512) 294-2221 immediately. Read our inflatable safety and cleanliness guide, or see real equipment in the Jump Around Party Rentals photo gallery.
Am I responsible if the inflatable gets damaged during my rental?
Normal wear is on us. Damage from negligence - silly string (which destroys vinyl), cutting, unauthorized relocation, or use outside the agreed terms - is the renter's responsibility. A damage waiver option is available at checkout. Review the rental agreement carefully - it covers rider limits, weather shutdown procedures, and what constitutes renter responsibility. A printed copy accompanies every delivery.
What are the safety rules for using a bounce house?
Our rental agreement covers all safety rules in detail. Key rules to know:
- No shoes, no sharp objects, no silly string, no food or drinks inside the unit
- Separate age groups where possible - do not mix very young children with teenagers
- Do not exceed the weight or rider capacity listed on the unit
- Shut down immediately if winds exceed 15-20 mph - inflatables must be deflated in high winds
- Keep the blower running at all times during use - deflation during use is a safety hazard
- An adult must supervise at all times. See our full bounce house safety tips guide for complete setup and supervision guidelines.
What wind speed makes inflatables unsafe?
Inflatables should be deflated when sustained winds reach 15-20 mph or when gusts are forecast above 20-25 mph. Thunderstorms, lightning within the area, or any severe weather forecast are immediate shutdown conditions. When in doubt, deflate. A deflated bounce house on a windy day is better than any alternative. Our delivery crew does a weather check on every delivery day. The Central Texas outdoor event guide has more on planning around weather.
Can I get a Certificate of Insurance for my venue or school?
Yes. Jump Around Party Rentals issues Certificates of Insurance naming any organization as additional insured - same-day at no charge. We have COI documentation ready for every school district in the service area (RRISD, LISD, GISD, PISD, KISD, LHISD, FISD, and others), City of Austin and Williamson County parks, and any HOA management office or corporate venue. Name the additional insured when you book and the COI goes out the same day.
β‘ Equipment Specs, Power and Setup Surfaces
Space, power, and surface requirements for a smooth setup at your location.
What surfaces can inflatables be set up on?
Grass is ideal. Concrete, asphalt, and packed dirt are all workable with appropriate anchoring (sandbags instead of stakes on hard surfaces). Gravel surfaces require a call in advance so we can plan correctly. We do not set up on slopes, uneven terrain, or rocky ground without advance discussion. For rural and ranch properties, call (512) 294-2221 before booking to describe your setup area. Or check availability online for standard residential addresses.
How much space does a bounce house need?
Add approximately 3 to 5 feet on every side of the inflatable's listed dimensions for stake points, blower placement, and safe entry/exit clearance. A standard 13x13 bounce house needs roughly a 20x20 clear area. Combo units are larger - check the dimensions on each individual product page. Overhead clearance of at least 14 to 18 feet is required depending on the unit height. Check individual product dimensions at bounce houses and combo bounce houses. For the full yard prep checklist, see the bounce house yard prep guide.
What power does an inflatable need?
Most inflatables require a standard 110V/20-amp dedicated circuit - about as much as a large household appliance. Do not run the blower on the same circuit as other major appliances. The blower must stay plugged in for the entire rental period to maintain air pressure. If your setup area is more than 50 feet from the nearest outdoor outlet, let us know when you book. A generator rental is an easy solution for remote setups.
Do you rent generators if my venue has no power?
Yes. Jump Around Party Rentals rents 9,000W and 14,000W generators for park events, rural property deliveries, and any venue without convenient electrical access. Generator rentals are available at checkout or by calling (512) 294-2221. Browse generator rental options. Most Austin Metro city parks require a generator - do not assume a park has power access without confirming with the parks department first.
What are the weight and capacity limits for inflatables?
Weight and rider limits vary by unit and are listed on each individual product page. Do not exceed the listed capacity - overcrowding is the leading cause of inflatable injuries. As a general guideline: standard bounce houses accommodate 6 to 10 kids at once depending on age and size. Check individual limits on each bounce house product page. Combo units typically accommodate more riders. Adults are welcome on units rated for them - check each product page.
My backyard gate is only 36 inches wide. What units fit?
Most standard bounce houses can be moved through a 36-inch gate because they are delivered deflated and carried in sections. Larger combo units and water slides may need a wider access path. Call (512) 294-2221 before booking if your access path is narrow - we can confirm which units will work. Or book online and note the gate width in the order comments and whether our crew needs any special equipment to navigate the space.
Do you rent multiple inflatables for one event?
Yes. Jump Around Party Rentals builds full multi-unit event packages for school carnivals, HOA events, church festivals, and corporate events. Multiple bounce houses, water slides, obstacle courses, dunk tanks, concession machines, tents, and carnival rides can all be combined in a single booking. Call (512) 294-2221 to build a custom package. See the school carnival planning guide or HOA event guide for multi-unit package ideas.
π° Bounce Houses and Inflatable Combo Units
Questions about bounce houses, combo units, and inflatable castles.
What is the difference between a bounce house, combo unit, and obstacle course?
A standard bounce house has a single enclosed bounce chamber. A combo unit (also called a combo bounce house) adds an attached slide, basketball hoop, or other feature to the bounce chamber - giving kids more variety in one unit. An obstacle course is a linear inflatable with tunnels, climbing walls, and slides that kids run through from start to finish. Combo units are the most popular rental for birthday parties. Browse combo bounce houses or obstacle courses.
How much does it cost to rent a bounce house in the Greater Austin area?
Standard bounce houses start at $155. Combo bounce houses with slide start at $195. Water slides start at $275. Obstacle courses start at $365. Pricing is shown on each product page and calculated at checkout including your delivery fee. There are no hidden fees added on the day of delivery. See live availability and pricing at jump-aroundpartyrentals.com/order-by-date. For a full pricing breakdown, see the bounce house rental cost guide.
What age range are bounce houses best for?
Standard bounce houses are best for ages 3 to 12. Toddler-specific units are available for children under 3 with lower walls, gentler slides, and smaller footprints. Combo units with slides work well for ages 4 to 14. Obstacle courses are popular with ages 6 through adult depending on the unit. Age recommendations are listed on each individual product page. Browse all bounce house rentals to filter by age group. Separate younger and older children into different jump sessions when possible.
Do you have licensed character and themed bounce houses?
Yes. Jump Around Party Rentals carries licensed character bounce houses including Spider-Man, Frozen, Bluey, Paw Patrol, Avengers, and 30-plus additional themes. Browse the full catalog at jump-aroundpartyrentals.com/category/bounce-houses. Availability varies by date - book early for popular character units on summer weekends. See the bounce house themes guide for the full breakdown by age group and character category.
What is the best bounce house for a toddler birthday party?
For toddler-specific parties (ages 1 to 4), look for smaller bounce houses with low walls, gentle ramp entries, and no tall slides. Jump Around Party Rentals carries several toddler-appropriate units. When older siblings are also attending, consider a toddler bounce house alongside a second unit for older kids - this keeps age groups separated and makes the event safer and more enjoyable for everyone. See the toddler bounce house safety guide.
Is it better to buy or rent a bounce house?
Renting is almost always the better value for families. A commercial-grade bounce house costs $2,000 to $5,000 or more to purchase. Check current rental pricing to see the full cost comparison. You are also responsible for storage, maintenance, blower replacement, and TDI registration if you intend to use it commercially. When you rent from Jump Around Party Rentals, you get a TDI-inspected, sanitized, professionally set-up unit with delivery and pickup included - for a fraction of the purchase cost.
How do I compare party rental companies in Austin?
Look at booking ease, communication, whether setup is included, and how the company performs on event day. The How We Compare page breaks down exactly how Jump Around Party Rentals approaches each of these - including a feature table and answers to the most common comparison questions.
Can you rent a bounce house for indoor use?
Yes, with conditions. Standard bounce houses require a minimum ceiling height of 14 to 16 feet depending on the unit. The venue must also allow staking alternatives - sandbags work on concrete and hard floors where stakes cannot be used. Gyms, large fellowship halls, and convention spaces typically work well. Call (512) 294-2221 before booking an indoor event so we can confirm the right unit for your ceiling height and floor surface.
What questions should I ask before renting a bounce house?
The five most important: Is the company TDI-registered and insured? Does delivery, setup, and takedown come included in the price? What is the weather cancellation policy? Can you issue a COI for my venue? What is the actual rental window - hours of use vs. hours on-site? Jump Around Party Rentals answers yes to the first four and explains the fifth clearly at checkout. See the full vendor vetting guide for the complete checklist.
Can adults use bounce houses?
Adults can use bounce houses provided they stay within the unit's stated weight capacity. Standard bounce houses are designed for children under 12 and have a combined weight limit of 600 to 800 lbs per session. Adults who participate should never mix with young children in the same unit at the same time - the size and weight difference creates collision risk. Combo bounce houses and oversized 6-in-1 units handle mixed adult use better than standard units. See the bounce house safety guide for full weight and supervision rules.
What is the best bounce house for a small backyard?
Standard 13x13 bounce houses are the best fit for smaller yards - they need approximately 15x15 feet of clear, flat space including staking room. The Modular Bounce House and themed units like the Caution Bounce House work well in tight spaces. If your gate is 36 inches or wider, most standard units fit through during delivery. Combo units with slides need more room - roughly 15x20 feet minimum. Call (512) 294-2221 if you're unsure whether your yard fits.
π¦ Water Slides and Wet Inflatables
Everything about water slide rentals for backyard parties, HOA events, and school carnivals.
How much does it cost to rent a water slide in the Greater Austin area?
Water slide rentals start at $275 for single-lane units. Dual-lane racing slides and larger units run higher based on size. Pricing is shown on each product page. See the full water slide catalog at jump-aroundpartyrentals.com/category/water-slides. Water slides are the fastest-filling summer rental category - book early for June through September dates.
What do I need to set up a water slide in my backyard?
Three things:
- Flat ground: Water slides must be set up on a level surface - even a slight slope concentrates water in one area and affects the ride experience
- Water source: A standard garden hose connection within 50 to 100 feet of the setup area. We connect the hose - you do not need a special attachment. Browse all water slide options to find the right size for your setup area.
- Power: A standard 110V outdoor outlet for the blower. Same power requirement as a standard bounce house
What is the difference between a single-lane and dual-lane water slide?
A single-lane water slide has one slide lane - riders go one at a time. A dual-lane racing slide has two parallel lanes so two riders can race side by side. Dual-lane slides are more popular for parties with 20 or more guests because throughput is nearly double. For HOA events and school carnivals with 100-plus attendees, dual-lane or multi-piece water slide setups are the right choice. See the full water slide rental catalog.
Do your water slides recycle water?
No. Inflatable water slides use a continuous fresh water flow from a garden hose - water runs through the slide and drains onto the ground (typically into a small splash pool area at the base). There is no recirculation pump. Water usage is similar to running a sprinkler - typically 2 to 5 gallons per minute depending on the slide size.
Are water slides safe for young children?
It depends on the specific unit. Small toddler-friendly wet combos work well for kids ages 2 and up with adult supervision. Larger water slides (15ft and above) are best for ages 5 and up - younger children may not have the coordination to land safely at the bottom. Age and weight recommendations are listed on each product page. When mixing age groups, consider a toddler-safe wet unit alongside a larger slide for older kids. See the toddler bounce house and slide safety guide.
When is the best time of year to rent a water slide in Central Texas?
Central Texas weather supports water slide use from April through October in most years. Peak demand runs June through August. October water slide bookings are common because temperatures in the Austin Metro area frequently stay above 85 degrees through mid-month. Book summer dates 4 to 6 weeks ahead. The Central Texas outdoor event heat guide has more on planning summer events safely.

Mechanical bull rentals are 3-hour base rentals with the operator included for the full 3 hours. Additional hours can be added at checkout. The American Mechanical Bull (patriotic theme) and standard mechanical bull are both available. Mechanical bull rentals start at $1,095. This is not a 1-day rental - the 3-hour base period reflects the standard industry rental window for operator-staffed attractions.
What is the minimum age for the mechanical bull?
The mechanical bull is recommended for ages 7 and up with adult supervision. The operator controls the speed and intensity and can adjust for younger or smaller riders. The bull includes a large inflatable cushion surround for safe dismounts. Our trained operator manages every ride and can immediately slow or stop the bull as needed. See the full mechanical bull rental page for pricing and availability.
Are carnival and mechanical rides TDI-inspected?
Yes. All mechanical rides and carnival attractions operated by Jump Around Party Rentals pass annual inspection under the Texas Amusement Ride Safety Inspection and Insurance Act. Texas law requires all amusement ride operators to carry liability insurance and pass annual inspections. Verify our TDI registration at tdi.texas.gov before hiring any amusement ride vendor in Texas. Browse the full carnival ride rental catalog.
Is the trackless train electric and does it need a track?
Yes, the trackless train is electric and requires no track - it drives on any paved or packed surface. The Electric Trackless Train rental is a 2-hour base rental with additional hours available at checkout. It is popular for school carnivals, HOA events, and any large outdoor gathering where guests of all ages enjoy a ride loop around the venue. Operator included.
Are ice and roller skating rink rentals available year-round in Central Texas?
Yes. Jump Around Party Rentals offers synthetic ice rink rentals and roller skating rink rentals year-round. Synthetic ice does not require cold temperatures - it uses a polymer surface that provides a realistic skating experience in any weather. Popular for winter holiday events, church festivals, HOA parties, and school events. See the ice and roller skating rink rental page for available sizes and pricing.
π Schools, HOAs, Churches and Large Events
COI requirements, planning guides, and multi-unit packages for organized events.
Can you provide a COI for my school district, HOA, or church?
Yes. Certificates of Insurance naming any organization as additional insured are issued same-day at no charge. Jump Around Party Rentals has COI documentation ready for every school district in the service area: RRISD, LISD, GISD, PISD, KISD, LHISD, FISD, HISD, and others. Name the additional insured when you book and the COI goes out the same day - no fee, no waiting period. See the school carnival COI guide or view all cities and school districts we serve.
What inflatable packages work best for a school carnival?
School carnivals need equipment that handles continuous high-volume use across a mixed age group. Top school carnival packages include:
- One or more large obstacle courses (96ft to 160ft for high-volume events)
- Multiple bounce houses separated by age group
- A dunk tank (always a crowd favorite when a teacher or principal is in the seat)
- Concession machines - cotton candy and snow cone machines with supplies
- A trackless train for younger students and families
- Carnival game booths for lower-key activity stations
See the full school field day and carnival planning guide and browse obstacle course options.
What are the most common rentals for HOA community events?
HOA community events typically combine inflatables for kids with entertainment for adults and mixed-age groups. Most-booked HOA package elements: dual-lane water slides for summer events, combo bounce houses for birthday-age kids, dunk tanks, concession machines, interactive inflatables (wrecking ball, jousting, bungee run) for teens and adults, and tables and tent packages. See the HOA community event planning guide.
What rentals work best for a church fall festival or trunk-or-treat?
Church fall festivals and trunk-or-treats in October draw mixed ages and benefit from a variety of activity stations. Most popular October church rentals: Halloween-themed inflatables and bounce houses, obstacle courses for older kids, dunk tanks, carnival game booths, concession machines. These events book fast in September and early October - plan 4 to 6 weeks ahead. See the church and VBS event planning guide.
Can Jump Around Party Rentals handle large festivals and multi-day events?
Yes. Jump Around Party Rentals has served large-scale public events and multi-day festivals across the Greater Austin Metro since 2008 including the Pecan Street Festival and community events with attendance in the thousands.
